Challenge Dementia Networking Event

Pioneered by Essex County Council, Challenge Dementia is open to individuals, teams and companies with ideas for ambitious and innovative products, technologies and services that will enable people living with dementia to remain connected to the people and places around them and to maintain their identity.

This event, which is taking place during the application period, is open to anyone who has an idea and wants to find out more about the prize, the process and hear about what makes a successful entry.

You will meet our prize partners, listed below, and be able to hear from them and talk to them about the support they will be providing for finalists:

  • The Alzheimer's Society
  • TechUK
  • PA Consulting
  • University of Essex
  • Healthwatch Essex
  • Nesta

There will also be an opportunity to find out more about the challenge, and why we need your ideas to help improve the lives of thousands of people living with dementia.

One aspect we are keen to highlight is the opportunity for potential applicants to network with like minded people and meet potential colleagues. The Challenge Dementia prize actively promotes collaboration and sharing of ideas so this event will have time to make sure you are able to talk with other attendees, to share knowledge and thinking in the hope that there will be some synergy and connections made between potential applications.
