    Join Nesta at the Data Skills for the Future: Positioning the UK for Success in a Data Driven World event with the Data Skills Taskforce.

On Thursday 14 September Nesta is hosting a Data Skills Taskforce event sponsored by Accenture and Pearson focusing on the Data Skills for the Future: Positioning the UK for Success in a Data Driven World. techUK is a member of the Data Skills Taskforce and will be attending this event which will showcase inspiring speakers and organisations from some of the UK’s leading data companies and bring together policy makers, educators and thought leaders.

At such a crucial time, the Government thinking about skills has intensified with Industrial Strategy, and the UK is considering how to build on its considerable strengths. This event will highlight how data skills can be used to drive decision making, and insight to solve some of society’s biggest challenges as well as contributing to economic growth.

Speakers include Minister of State for Digital, Matthew Hancock MP who will outline the importance of data skills for the future of work, and world leading experts such as Maggie Philbin OBE, Broadcaster and CEO of TeenTech. They will share their views on how the UK can inspire, educate and upskill data talent, drawing on best practice from the UK’s leading institutions.
