Mobilise 2026

Mobilise, techUK's flagship conference for transport technology, returns for its 2026 edition. This year's theme, "Strategy to Delivery", puts the spotlight on the defining question facing UK transport right now: how do we turn ambitious government strategy into real-world action on the ground?

About this event

Over the past year, government has brought forward:

  • Integrated transport planning

  • New approaches to transport data and smart data schemes

  • The Railways Bill

  • Regulatory consultations on autonomous vehicles

  • The transport AI strategy

  • Law Commission proposals on autonomous aviation

Add to that the many other initiatives shaping the sector, and it's clear the policy landscape is moving very fast. Attention is now shifting from policy design to policy impact.

Mobilise brings together the people at the heart of that shift – from industry and government to local leaders and innovators – for an afternoon of candid debate, senior speakers and genuine insight. We’ll look at the opportunities and obstacles ahead, alongside the high-calibre networking that's made Mobilise one of the most valuable dates in the transport technology calendar.

Ticket prices:

  • techUK member ticket: free

  • Public sector: free (if you have any issues registering please contact the Flagship Events team

  • Non-member ticket: £170.00 + VAT

  • 12:00–13:00

    Registration and Networking

  • 13:00–13:10

    Opening remarks

  • 13:10–13:20

    Ministerial keynote

  • 13:20–14:00

Panel: Data – turning information into passenger and organisational value

Transport runs on data, yet too much of it sits fragmented across organisations, in incompatible formats, with no shared rules for access. This panel brings together transport data leaders to ask how transport turns this moment into delivery. We will discuss smart data schemes; integrated ticketing and journey planning; governance, standards, incentives; and so much more.

    • Mark Ferguson, Digital Supply Chain Practice, Partners and Sales, InterSystems
    • Melanie Read, Digital Delivery Manager, Valtech
  • 14:00–14:15

    Break

  • 14:15–15:00

Panel: Autonomy – delivering the next big theme in transport

In this session we will examine progress across a range of transport sectors in which autonomy is being adopted – from self-driving vehicles and robot deliveries to logistics and drones. Panellists will explore the challenges in delivering these new systems, as well as identifying lessons learned to use in less developed sectors.

  • 15:00–15:20

Presentation: Innovation – why good ideas fail at procurement, and how to fix it

The UK runs world-class transport technology pilots but then watches too many of them stall on the way to a contract. This session gets to the business heart of the problem and examines why pilots stall, and what would change the return on investment. We will look at pipeline visibility, protection for intellectual property, and a regulated sandbox that turns a supervised pilot into a genuine bridge to revenue

    • Michelle Craven-Faulkner, Partner, Shoosmiths
  • 15:20–15:40

    Break

  • 15:40–16:20

Panel: Securing the transport system – cyber resilience for critical infrastructure

Every step transport takes towards digitisation widens the surface an attacker can reach. Resilience can no longer be bolted on at the end but must be designed in from the start. This session is not just keeping attackers out, but also about building systems that degrade safely, recover fast and keep running under pressure, across the transport network.

    • Chris Parker MBE, Director Government Strategy, Fortinet
  • 16:20–17:00

Fireside chat: 30 years from now – infrastructure for a future we can't yet see

What today's decisions mean for infrastructure that must last decades
