The Trusted Agents Forum (TAF) set up in 2011 under the Virtual Task Force Pilot Project (VTF) provided cyber security practitioners with an informal background network to facilitate information sharing. It was paused with the introduction of the Cabinet Office's CiSP initiative.
But, following demand from members, techUK has decided to re-start the TAF which will focus on information sharing in the following areas:
• Incidents: Dissemination of information related to specific attacks, types of attacks, the material they target and the impact and risks they carry.
• Trends: Identifying trends in volume, type, means and other characteristics, trends in targeted platforms and the characteristics of attacking organisations.
• Tactics, Techniques & Procedures: Post incident analysis of specific events, attacker campaigns, detection methods, forensics analysis and techniques.
• Solutions: Dissemination of best practise and assessment of new products, services and solutions.
The TAF will meet bi-monthly and will give members the opportunity to share their expertise, learn from industry colleagues and strengthen their personal networks. Please note the following requirements for membership of the group. A full Terms of Reference is attached.
Members must be contributing practitioners/ analysts from companies that already manage their own infrastructure and have an internal cyber security monitoring and analysis capability.
All members must be willing to share material within the group sessions. No formal minutes will be taken at these meetings in an effort to encourage information sharing and build trust.
To prevent the misuse of shared data an NDA will be finalised, and signature must be a prerequisite for participation.Trusted Agents Forum Terms of Reference (pdf)Terms and Conditions of Membership (pdf)
