Evidence-led assurance: enabling faster, safer digital delivery
Industry roundtable to launch the Ministry of Defence’s Evidence-Led Assurance, a methodology for connecting software delivery activity.

About this event
Event overview
The Ministry of Defence is inviting industry partners to the launch of Part 1 of Evidence-Led Assurance (ELA), a new methodology for connecting software delivery activity with the evidence and confidence required for accountable decisions.
ELA aims to strengthen governance while reducing avoidable delay, duplicated reporting and retrospective evidence gathering. It provides a structured relationship between signals, metrics, evidence, assurance assertions and decisions, with shorter feedback loops helping delivery and governance respond as parts of the same system.
Benefits and takeaways
During this interactive session, attendees will hear why ELA has been developed, how it is intended to benefit delivery partners and governance authorities, and how it could establish the foundations for controlled acceleration when operational circumstances require a faster delivery tempo.
The session will also outline the direction of Part 2, which will develop lifecycle assurance expectations, and Part 3, which will address piloting, adoption and transition to wider use. Industry input will be important in ensuring that the emerging model remains practical, proportionate and aligned with established delivery practices.
Who should attend
This event will take the form of a small roundtable, with representation welcomed from across industry.
A limited number of face-to-face places will be available and allocated accordingly, while virtual attendance will be open to anyone wishing to participate.
Please note that for planning purposes your details will be shared with the Ministry of Defence team leading the session.
