Join techUK and HACT for Part II of our 'Technology in the Social Housing Sector' series.

The social housing sector in the UK is in the midst of massive change - with funding arrangements revised and customer expectations changing, housing providers are facing new challenges.

Technology can help solve these challenges whilst also driving efficiencies and creating additional value.

And it’s happening now - the internet of things is already beginning to allow social landlords to understand how their housing assets perform out in the wild while also delivering the kind of technology driven home that residents are increasingly demanding. Landlords are experimenting with UAVs and advanced laser scanning for asset inspection which is set to change the nature of repairs and maintenance programmes. While connected boilers will report potential faults before residents realise there is an issue.

A massive opportunity exists for social housing providers to take advantage of new and innovative products to support and improve service delivery. In addition to this technology can also drive new commercial opportunities within areas such as assisted living, energy provision and communications services.

HACT and techUK have lined up some of the most forward thinking technologies and innovations in a showcase of some of the best new solutions on offer.

Come along to get hands on with the tech that will transform housing - expect plenty of kit to play with, demos and solution focused workshops with technology and housing innovators.
