Building your profile in the cyber sector - Q4TheLoo

The next Queue for the Loo event will take place Thursday 13th June, hosted and sponsored by Capgemini. The session will explore how to build a personal brand and profile within the cyber security sector.

In 2018, techUK helped launch the Queue for the Loo initiative; a series of events and online resources aimed at women in the cyber security sector. The initiative, spearheaded by Sian John of Microsoft, will include quarterly networking events for female cyber professionals to network, exchange ideas and find mentors.

Attendees at the event will explore how individuals and various career stages can develop a higher profile within the sector, hearing from a number of experienced industry leaders.

Areas for discussion will include leveraging social media and how speaking at events can develop networks, as well as how this increased profile can be utilised to further career pathways. The event will be followed by a networking and drinks reception.

Speakers will include:

  • Paul Hammond, Cloud Infrastructure Services Head of Projects & Consulting for NEU, Capgemini.
  • Sarah Palmer, Director, European Business Development, Power Speaking
  • Haleema Ghafoor, Account Manager- Public Sector, Symantec
  • Ceri Aiken, Communication Lead and Social Media Champion, Global CIS, Capgemini
