This event will be an opportunity to find out more about how we’re harnessing the innovation of London’s tech community for public benefit, meet some of the best tech for good startups in the market, and network with industry peers, policymakers and technology professionals. In addition to hearing from the Chief Digital Officer for London there will be plenty of time for networking over drinks and pizza.
The Mayor of London's Civic Innovation Challenge is London's flagship tech innovation programme. In partnership with Microsoft and Social Tech Trust, it brings together tech startups, leading organisations and Londoners to co-create innovative solutions to some of London’s key challenges. The Mayor’s Civic Innovation Challenge for 2019 will address three challenges of real importance to London: Countering violent extremism online, helping London meet its housing need and tackling congestion in the capital. The programme not only delivers benefits to Londoners, but also offers a route to market for tech start-ups – a unique chance to access insight, expertise, cutting-edge data and pilot sites.
Twenty-three tech startups have now been selected to join the Mayor of London’s Civic Innovation Challenge for 2019/2020. You can find out more about them here and discover more about the Civic Innovation Challenge at tech.london/challenges.
