This techUK briefing will be an opportunity to discuss the role that autonomous systems, including IoT, AI and automated technologies can play in enhancing operational capability throughout the Royal Navy.
Following significant exercises like Information Warrior ’19, Navy has been leading UK exploitation of technologies like AI, working with other commands and industry to better develop information warfare fighting capabilities.
Attendees at this techUK briefing will discuss where these developing technologies can be best utilised and how the procurement process should be approached around issues such as cost, value-for-money, and interoperability. Design, security and integration challenges will be discussed what industry can do to further foster trust in these emerging technologies. Further discussion will focus on how MOD can work with industry to realise this potential and pull through these technologies to deployment both in the carriers and across the frontline commands examining the most exciting technologies from across related sector that could be exploited in Defence.
