As part of the broader UK-India Tech Partnership formed in April 2018 between both the UK and Indian governments, techUK is pleased to have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian tech trade association, the National Association of Software & Services Companies (NASSCOM), under which both associations have formed a new UK-India Tech Alliance.
The Alliance brings selected senior tech leaders from both countries together to offer a sounding board and expert advice to the UK and Indian governments on the UK-India collaboration for enhancing skills, advancing new technologies, encouraging innovation and developing policy which ensures that both governments nurture the growth that is seen in this sector and beyond.
Consisting of around 5-10 UK-based tech businesses and 5-10 technology companies from India, the Alliance members meet approximately 3-4 times per year. The meetings provide an avenue for the Alliance members to advise the UK and Indian governments on high-level issues affecting bilateral trade and growth of the technology sectors in the UK and India.
The meetings take place in both the UK and India, and the members of the Alliance are informed in advance on the upcoming meetings.
