Open Architectures: trends, integration and adoption

Over a number of years MOD has worked to move towards using more open systems and architectures throughout its IT estate, both on major platforms and through office functions.

Perhaps the best example of this is the Land Open System Architecture (LOSA) example. LOSA allows UK SMEs to be directly involved with an important and influential project, whilst maintaining full control and rights over their intellectual property. The commercial mechanisms around open architectures have traditionally posed a challenge in this space.

This event will be an opportunity to examine progress in this space to date, exploring how industry primes and SMEs are currently collaborating on key projects and platforms as well as highlighting key barrier to further adoption.

Speakers: Steve Latchem, Head of Architecture (Transformation), ISS
