The University of Edinburgh, in collaboration with University College London, Arden GEM Commissioning Support Unit and Harvard University are currently leading an independent evaluation of the Global Digital Exemplar Programme. As part of this, they are working with techUK to explore evolving vendor landscapes in the NHS.
We would like to engage with a range of vendors of different sizes and market segments in a facilitated set of discussions to inform this evaluation work and help shape ongoing strategy. We warmly invite techUK members to come and contribute. Key areas we would like to explore include:
• How can the NHS procurement landscape be improved
• Can the NHS market be made more favourable to new entrants (in terms of access to market and scope for sustained scale-up)?
• How is the market for core enterprise solutions and integrated infrastructures evolving?
The workshop will involve small group discussions with representatives from different suppliers, facilitated by our research team. We will also be inviting senior leaders from GDE sites to join the discussions.
Please be assured that this event will operate under Chatham House Rule and everything discussed will be treated in the strictest confidence. The research team will, on the back of this event, compile a report which will be distributed for comments and feed into a workshop with NHS Digital arranged for March 2019.
We look forward to seeing you there!
