The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and techUK invite you to this workshop to update you on the progress of current EU cyber security regulations.
Earlier this year, DCMS issued a consultation on the EU’s proposals for a EU Cybersecurity Act. Through the Act the EU is seeking to reform ENISA, the “EU Cybersecurity Agency”, and establish a framework to govern European cyber security certification schemes, changing the way that European cyber security certification schemes are developed and implemented.
Building on these initiatives, the European Commission has also proposed the creation of a Network of Cybersecurity Competence Centres and a new European Cybersecurity Industrial, Technology and Research Competence Centre to invest in stronger and pioneering cybersecurity capacity in the EU Furthermore, DCMS has been engaging with the Commission on the development of the e-Privacy Directive and its effect on the cyber security sector.
This workshop will provide attendees with an overview of the current status of these regulations and give members an opportunity to provide feedback to Government.
The workshop will be open to techUK and non-techUK companies, so once it is online you are more than welcome to share the registration link with your contacts.
