Stuart (Stu) Butler joined the RAF in 1974 and flew the Nimrod MPA and the Jet Provost trainer.

He commanded 206 Squadron and Royal Air Force Kinloss and completed a number of key ground appointments in the MoD and Headquarters Strike Command, mainly in C4ISTAR procurement roles.

He retired as an AVM and is currently the Operational Requirements Director for BAE Systems MAI.
