Data Centre Generator Issues

Data centres rely on diesel generators for emergency power in the event of grid failure, and the sector manages significant installed generating capacity. This means that operators are obliged under multiple regulatory instruments relating to carbon (EU ETS) and air quality (MCPD, IED) which are burdensome but not always productive.
