Quantum
Our Quantum programme brings together industry, government and researchers to turn the UK's strong quantum foundations into commercial success. We help members shape policy, access expertise and move quantum technologies from research to market. Our focus:
- Shaping UK quantum policy and commercialisation
- Connecting industry, government and researchers
- Preparing sectors for quantum adoption

Turning quantum ambition into commercial success.
The UK has spent more than a decade building strong foundations in quantum research and innovation. As quantum technologies move towards real-world deployment, the next opportunity is to turn that scientific leadership into commercially successful products, services and businesses. The government has committed up to £2 billion to support quantum development and commercialisation, including the ProQure procurement programme.
Our Quantum programme brings together organisations from across the ecosystem to address the barriers between innovation and adoption. Through our Quantum Working Group, policy engagement and industry activity, we work with members on priorities including investment, skills, procurement, trade and market readiness.
We also help organisations beyond the quantum sector understand where these technologies will create value. Through our quantum readiness series, we bring industry and experts together to explore emerging applications and help key sectors prepare for deployment.
This programme sits within our wider quantum work, connecting policy, commercialisation, adoption and industry expertise to help strengthen the UK's quantum ecosystem.
Shape quantum policy
We bring member expertise into discussions with government and policymakers on the priorities shaping the UK's quantum ecosystem. Through our Quantum Working Group and wider policy engagement, members can help influence the conditions needed for successful commercialisation, adoption and growth.
Accelerate commercialisation
We help members navigate the opportunities and barriers involved in moving quantum technologies from research towards commercial deployment. Our work supports discussion around investment, procurement, skills and market development, helping strengthen the conditions for quantum businesses to grow in the UK.
Build quantum readiness
We connect the quantum ecosystem with organisations across sectors including health, defence, energy and transport. Through our Quantum Readiness Series and wider activity, we help organisations understand emerging applications and prepare for the opportunities quantum technologies could create.
