Clare MacNamara leads the work of the Broadband Stakeholder Group, taking over from Matthew Evans as CEO in October 2019
Prior to her recent consultancy work for corporate and public sector clients. Clare held a number of senior UK and global public affairs and government relations roles in BT Group businesses. During this time Clare led a number of infrastructure policy campaigns to facilitate broadband deployment in the UK, and to secure legislative change. Clare was also responsible for public affairs for BT’s global R&D hub and high-tech cluster at Adastral Park. Previously in her career Clare worked as a Brussels-based lobbyist for an EU consultancy, and was a Schuman scholar at the European Parliament in Luxembourg.
