International Trade Newsletter | Events and Opportunities

2018 is set to continue where 2017 left off with a number of delegations available for UK tech companies looking to grow their international presence.

Notably, techUK is pleased to support the Northern Powerhouse Trade Mission to India which will take in WCIT India 2018 in Hyderabad, as part of NASSCOM's ILF 2018 Conference. The Mission will also visit Bangalore and Mumbai (optional). Places are still available and SME’s can apply for a £1500 ERDF grant towards their costs of participating. The agenda is action packed and includes visits to the major Indian system integrators. Should you wish to join this or the other delegations listed, please get in touch.

If you are planning on expanding internationally, you may also be able to access DIT export grants with GTM Global. GTM Global works in association with techUK, DIT and Newable to provide mentoring, advice and guidance for scale-up UK tech and digital business owners looking to expand globally.

Funding is available for digital brands with a turnover between £5 to 40m, exporting currently to no more than six markets. Funding applications close March 2018, so early expressions of interest are advised. To find out more and to check your business qualifies, email simon.spier@techuk.org.

As 2018 gets in to full swing, should you have any ideas or suggestions on how to engage with techUK’s International Trade programme, please do get in contact.
All the best

Simon
