International Trade Newsletter | Events and Opportunities

It has certainly been a busy month for techUK. The second annual Supercharging the Digital Economy conference went off with a bang, including speeches from Digital Minister, Matt Hancock, CEO of Yoti, Robin Tombs and Director of Corporate Affairs at Nominet, Elaine Quinn. You can find the key takeaways of the event including the video highlights on our website.

On 8 November techUK ran a seminar that showcased the potential of the Chinese market for our members. Read more about that event and the wider Chinese opportunities for UK tech here.

Additionally our Go To Market series partnership continues to grow from strength to strength with an event focussed on export opportunities in the US. Hear four UK tech brands share their stories on how they successfully expanded in the USA. Find information on the upcoming GTM Global seminars on AI and Machine Learning (November) and eCommerce (December) in the opportunities and events section.

Finally, techUK is pleased to support the 2018 Global ICT Excellence Awards. The World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) holds its Global ICT Excellence Awards in conjunction with the Gala Dinner at the World Congress on IT. The 2018 Awards will be held on February 20, 2018 at WCIT 2018 in Hyderabad.  As a WITSA member, techUK is considering nominations for all awards. If you would like your company to be considered for a nomination for these prestigious awards, please email me by Wednesday 3 January (deadline extended) having completed the short application form.

As we close off 2017, should you have any ideas or suggestions on how to engage with techUK’s programme for 2018, please do get in touch.
All the best
