It's almost winter but whilst the trees and wildlife have gone into hibernation we certainly haven't.
On 31 October we held our annual Supercharging the Digital Economy Conference, discussing how we can capture global leadership in innovation, how we can supercharge digital adoption and use, and Britain's role in global trade. It’s clear that all businesses are facing increased uncertainty. With Brexit negotiations still in flux and industry digesting the latest round of Budget announcements (see our take here), the conference provided an opportunity to look at where the UK can capture value and what more can be done to support businesses to digitise.
November has seen us launch two new initiatives. One focusing on top actions to accelerate IoT market growth, which we launched with a roundtable focused on 2018 policy priorities for the IoT. The other looking at the Connected Home. Working with GFK we launched with a stakeholder roundtable, followed by an interactive workshop where we took members on an immersive journey, exploring and demonstrating how to navigate the complicated world of consumer-led innovation for the Connected Home.
We are now busy planning for our 2018 work programme. If there are any specific IoT policy or market issues issues you feel we should be working on next year now is the time to get in touch.
