On the 31 October we held our annual Supercharging the Digital Economy Conference. Now in its second year we spent a day down in the Docklands at Siemen's Crystal, discussing how we can capture global leadership in innovation, how we can supercharge digital adoption and use, and Britain's role in global trade.
Following last month's Clean Growth Strategy publication our meetings notes from each of the three roundtables we held with Government are available. We also published our long awaited report on tech led decarbonisation. This has been a joint piece of work between our Environment & Compliance Programmes and SmarterUK, started way back in January when we were still working under the title of the Emissions Reduction Plan. We will continue to engage with Government on these issues so if you'd like to be involved please get in touch.
Finally, this month the Industrial Strategy Commission published its final report setting out institutional recommendations for how we can support the effective delivery of the UK's new approach to the industrial strategy. Chapter 3 of the report focuses on 'Investment in Infrastructure', highlighting not just the opportunity of new technologies but also where existing assets need strengthening. These include energy, rail and comms infrastructure.
November is a big month for us, kicking off with the long awaited launch of our State of the Connected Home 2017 report. Working with GFK we launched with a stakeholder roundtable exploring in more detail key insights from the report. We followed this with a workshop where we took members on an immersive journey, exploring and demonstrating how to navigate the complicated world of consumer-led innovation for the Connected Home.
But November doesn't end there... Looking forward to events this month we have an interactive workshop on 27 November looking at use cases for data in transport. Join both us and ITS as we explore how to put the user back into transport innovation. Spaces are limited so get in touch now to avoid disappointment!
