Cloud, Data, Analytics & AI Update | June 2017

With Brexit negotiations underway we published two hypothetical case studies highlighting the importance of the free flow of data and why we continue to believe an adequacy agreement is the best option for UK businesses, particularly SMEs.

techUK also welcomed the recently published International Strategy for 2017-2021 by the ICO, which also recognised the need to maintain cross-border data flows and for the UK to remain a proactive player on the international data protection stage.

As new technologies develop and utilise data in innovative ways, techUK was pleased to contribute to the Royal Society and British Academy report on Data Governance in the 21st Century as part of their working group report. You can check out the full report here: Data Management and Use: Governance in the 21st Century.
