techUK Welcomes Margot James MP as new Minister for Digital and Creative

Commenting on the Ministerial reshuffle, and the appointment of Margot James MP as Minister for Digital and Creative Industries, techUK CEO, Julian David, said:

“techUK congratulates Margot James on her appointment. Minister for Digital is a vital portfolio for the UK economy. Margot James will bring great energy and dynamism to the role. It is a critical year for the tech sector as we continue to build on the Government’s Digital Strategy, and Brexit negotiations move into Phase 2. A continued collaborative relationship with Government and industry will be the key to success.”

“I’d also like to thank Matt Hancock for all his work as Digital Minister. He really made the brief his own and worked hard with our members on a range of issues. We look forward to continue working with him in his new role as Secretary of State.”
