Export support for trade, export and investment

There's never been a better time to trade internationally. And whether you're completely new to exporting, have some experience, or are looking to expand a well established range of global markets and services, there's always more you can do to increase your bottom line.

techUK and DIT are working together to increase the number of technology companies who are exporting.  We are keen to hear from and talk to you if you are beginning to think about exporting but don't know where to start, have tried exporting but struggling to make it work for you, or are already exporting but believe there is more that you could do.

This page will provide connections and information which will help you along the road to export and ensuring it works for you.  We will continue to update this page but please do let us know if you would like more information on particular issues or countries by contacting the techUK team. Information below covers:

  • Case Studies
  • New to Exporting
  • Experienced Exporter
  • Exporting Training Courses

Each business and each market is unique. What may have worked for you in one country will not necessarily work in another.

DIT offers a range of useful services that can help technology businesses explore exporting opportunities and explore new markets, find more information here -   https://www.exportingisgreat.gov.uk/

Double UK tech exports by 2020

In the 2014 Budget positive steps were taken to back UK exports. The current government's target to have £1 trillion worth of exports in goods and services by 2020 is welcome. In 2012 exports amounted to at least £31bn and should aim to at least double the amount of tech exports to £62bn by 2020 – lets make it happen.
