Export Controls Reform group

This specially formed working group is focussing on driving through reform of the UK Export Controls system which has been highlighted by Electronics manufacturing members as unfairly restricting UK exports of Electronic Components. This work has been extended to include Cyber Security products and electronic systems and components that have embedded encryption as part of their function.

This is a joint activity with the ADS EGADD group and meetings alternate between techUK and ADS offices in London with occasional joint meetings with the Export Control Organisation (ECO).

Wider export control policy (including Dual-Use) now sits within the Trade and Customs Compliance Group at techUK (formerly JETSECC and ITAC).
