Programme actions for defence

Digital technologies provide both a huge opportunity and a significant challenge to the Defence sector. These technologies have fundamentally changed the nature of conflict and can provide the decisive capabilities and information needed to prevail. techUK works to help the UK’s digital industries align themselves with MOD as it transforms into a more digitally enabled department. MOD and industry must work together to understand the impact that civilian technologies have upon modern conflict, and how these must be approached by the armed forces. UK industry plays a vital role in supporting and encouraging the UK government to better understand and procure digital technologies in a way that generates added capability and value for the end-user.

techUK's Defence Programme has been developed with members to address the new challenges facing the sector, and make sure industry is engaged throughout the transformation process as more services and capabilities become digitised. The Programme works to support its members and the wider Defence stakeholder community through a series of events, workshops, reports and consultation papers.

techUK’s defence programme has been developed with members to help them:
