Defence & Security SME Council

The Defence & Security SME Council provides a forum for techUK's D&S SME members to engage with HMG stakeholders on issues specifically affecting SMEs.

Aim

The Defence & Security SME Council seeks to work with HMG to create a level playing field for all actors involved in defence and security by improving our SME members' understanding of how HMG policy and organisational changes will impact relevant markets. The Council also aims to promote a consolidated view in response to various HMG strategies, activities, and queries. techUK also provides a channel between this Council and the MOD's Defence Suppliers Forum (DSF) SME Forum, notes from the meetings of this forum can be found here.

Guest speakers from across MOD often attend the Council's meetings presenting on topics critical to the tech industry. Recent meetings of D&S SME Council have featured briefings from:

  • Defence Suppliers Service
