This third session of Healthtech Startup School will cover the most common means of financing a startup business – bootstrapping, savings, friends and family, bank loans, angel finance, venture capital, and crowd funding. It explains how to access funders and what they are looking for. It examines the pros and cons of each type of finance; how to negotiate and search for the best deal.

Learning outcomes:

  • Understand what the best type of business financing for their business is.

  • The costs/sacrifices required for each type of financing

  • The benefits that are available from funders to help business growth

  • Key elements to pitch to each funder type

  • How to negotiate a term sheet.
