Ministry of Defence Spectrum Sharing and Release Team project into how defence can better utilise the spectrum it manages.

Innovation is one of the key enablers in maintaining our military advantage into the future, we must continue to adapt to stay ahead, finding ways to be more innovative in the ways we think, the ways we develop capabilities and the ways we operate ourselves, whilst developing the ability to harness private sector entrepreneurship and ingenuity quickly and affordably. The ability to innovate was also identified in the UK Industrial Strategy 2017 as one of our great historic strengths.

The Ministry of Defence Spectrum Sharing and Release Team is undertaking a project into how defence can better utilise the spectrum it manages. Defence would like to investigate innovative approaches to spectrum sharing in the academia, commercial and non-defence sectors which could be replicated within Defence.
