Growth in challenging times > Recruitment and Retention now and after Brexit

HRConnect is the newly re-launched techUK HR Group. The group provides an opportunity to explore and discuss topics around HR, leadership and organisational development as they apply to the tech sector. It’s also an environment where you can share ideas and network with others working in tech.

We would like to invite interested individuals to our next free-to-attend event on 30 January, looking at recruitment and retention (details below). More information about HRConnect is available here.

First Event
Join the new HRConnect group at techUK for the first of many knowledge-sharing events charting the lifecycle of a tech company. First up, we look at recruitment and retention in the tech sector including a consideration of the post-Brexit landscape and how to recruit and retain staff in challenging times.

The session will be an opportunity to listen to best practice, looking at case studies from both large corporates and SMEs in the tech sector and share experiences.

The learning part

Neville Merritt, Director of Pure Potential, shares top tips on how to build a great employer brand to compete for the best talent post-Brexit.

Kathryn Dooks, Partner at technology law firm Kemp Little LLP, brings us up to speed with:

(a) What the recruitment landscape looks like post-Brexit; and
(b) What recruitment and retention data we can collect about employees and how long we can retain it in light of GDPR.

Case Studies

Rethinking Recruitment – Laura Crossley from Surevine explains how an SME reduced their hiring costs from £20,000 to £0, and increased retention from 30% to 80%.

Rethinking Retention - Sam Baker fromComputacenter asks: is it all about the number of continuous years’ service an employee clocks up?

This will be followed by group discussion and shared learning.
