HRConnect: Growth > from recruitment to retention

The HRConnect group at techUK is starting for the first in its series of knowledge-sharing seminars charting the lifecycle of a Tech company. First up, we look at recruitment and retention in the Tech sector.

The session will be an opportunity to hear about best practice, listen to case studies from both large corporates and SMEs in the Tech sector and to share your experiences.

The learning part

Kate Harper, Capita, examines the trend for evidence-based HR practice and data-driven decision-making in recruitment and retention Kate will set the scene by explaining how evidence and insight, in all its guises, can lead to more informed HR decision-making.

Kathryn Dooks, Partner at Kemp Little LLP, brings us up to speed with what recruitment and retention data we can collect about employees and how long we can retain it in light of GDPR.

Case Studies

Rethinking Retention - Sam Baker from Computacenter asks: is it all about the number of continuous years’ service an employee clocks up?
Rethinking Recruitment – Laura Crossley from Surevine explains how an SME reduced their hiring costs from £20,000 to £0, and increased retention from 30% to 80%.

This will be followed by group discussion and shared learning.
