Women in Defence Technology: Seizing Opportunities - Panel Event

The Women in Defence Network and techUK are collaborating to create a joint event to discuss the issues currently affecting women working in UK defence technology. We are being joined by a diverse panel of MOD and industry speakers who will speak about their experiences and current work in Defence.

This event will contribute to the ongoing work being done by MOD to create an inclusive and diverse culture in UK Defence, and we will provide a platform for women with technology skills to build relationships and support their career progression. We will discuss how to raise the profile of women in defence and the contribution they make to the tech industry and identify issues that the techUK and Women in Defence Network may wish to continue to discuss and take action on in future events.

We are delighted to be joined by a panel of:

  • Air Marshal Julian Young, Chief of Defence Materiel - Air, DE&S
  • Brigadier Sara Sharkey, Assistant Head - Information Application Services, Army
  • Sarah Minett, Managing Director, Rockwell Collins UK
  • Amelia Gould, Head of Engineering - Combat Systems, BAE Systems Naval Systems

The panel will be chaired by Angela Owen, PA Consulting, Chair of the Panel and Founder of the Women in Defence Network.

If you wish to attend and are a Civil Servant or not a techUK member please contact Seema Patel to register.
