Briefing from Steven Morgan, Commercial Director, MOD

We are pleased to announce that Steven Morgan, Commercial Director MOD will brief techUK members on 18 May at techUK offices.

Steven Morgan is the current Commercial Director for the UK Ministry of Defence. He is responsible for the commercial functions within the MOD including policy, procedures, delegation of authority, approval of the largest and most complex procurements, training, development and assignment of over 1700 commercial professionals throughout the UK. He is the Defence Authority for Commercial within MOD and is leading the work being done across MOD to further engage SMEs and new entrants to Defence.

Steven will talk to techUK members about his role, his immediate and long term priorities, how the SME agenda (both in MOD and wider Government) is progressing, and how he wants to engage with industry in the future. Steven will enter into Q&A with audience members and we hope to have a frank and honest discussion about the opportunities and barriers to improving the state of MOD and industry commercial relations and working.

All techUK members are welcome to attend this event. There will be networking drinks after the address from Steven and we encourage techUK members interested in working in UK Defence to attend and meet the number of senior industry members who will also be present.
