Demystifying Local Government – Growing the Tech Market

Local Government can often be seen as a complex market and one that is hard to navigate. As such, techUK is delighted to host a panel discussion with local Government and industry to demystify local Government as a market.

According to latest figures from the Local Government Association, local Government spends around £2.5 - £3bn per annum on tech. The local Government landscape is changing and so is its approach to digital transformation. This event is an opportunity for new entrants and those looking to enter the local Government tech market to develop a better understanding of the current landscape, latest trends and be more informed in the way councils operate.

Speakers include:

  • Councillor Peter Fleming, Leader, Sevenoaks District Council
  • Jessica Figueras, Chief Analyst, GlobalData Public Sector
  • Jon Robertson, Project Manager, Futue Cities Catapult
  • Georgina Maratheftis, Programme Manager - Local Government, techUK (Chair)

*Further speakers and an agenda to be confirmed shortly*
