Improve for small and medium sized businesses

techUK is committed to helping its members strengthen and grow their businesses. Whether a company is just starting out or is relatively mature there are always opportunities to improve operations and strengthen professionalism. techUK provides a wide range of activities tailored to the needs of businesses at different stages of development.

techUK has developed a suite of services to help members improve employee and business performance. From 'hard' business benefits such as sales leads; access to finance for trade and export; and access to central London meeting space, to developmental services such as training, business mentoring and certification of excellence.

Business Services

techUK offers a range of services which help our members run their businesses more effectively. These services are designed to fit the needs of members, whether its training and development, or business growth and operational excellence. These services are offered at discounted rates for members.

Business Professional Certificate

The Business Professional Certificate (BPC) is a business improvement performance scheme that gives recognition to technology companies who prove to be reputable suppliers, committed to higher standards.

The BPC is primarily aimed at small and medium-sized organisations within the technology sector that are looking to continually improve their internal processes and procedures and to demonstrate an advanced level of professionalism.

The ethos behind the BPC is that it is generated from within techUK membership – 'by members for members' – by people who are already creating and sharing best practice and who are motivated to improve standards and ultimately the reputation of the industry. Importantly, it is increasingly recognised assurance of quality by government.

Business Clinics

techUK SME Business Clinics are designed to improve members' business performance. Delivered by a team of experts gathered from membership, the interactive business clinics offer expert advice and guidance on a range of business issues including:

  • Access to Finance: Where to go for growth funding

  • Business Value Proposition: The key to generating business
  • Tender Writing & Bid Writing for the Public Sector: Understand what Public Sector buyers are looking for

The clinics offer a resource that can be accessed online. Additionally, regular events provide members with opportunities to:
